Since 1999 Dipl.Ing.(FH) Aykan Aydin has been working as an engineer for the research and development divisions of Deutsche Telekom. At Technologiezentrum Darmstadt he started with service development for Television set-top-box, Knowledge Management, eHealth, eLearning, Location Based Services and Recommender Systems. In 2008 he moved to Deutsche Telekom Laboratories (T-Labs) as Senior Expert & Lead Developer. His main activities continue in the domains of Recommender Systems, Information Retrieval and User Profiling. The significant outcomes of Recommender Systems were contributed for the establishment of the start-up YOOCHOOSE. His today’s fields within T-Labs meet innovation development for convergent web technology-based and context-aware solutions.
