A market of unlimited opportunities? The sale of broadcast rights to Germany’s Bundesliga and England’s Premier League soccer matches recently brought in record-breaking revenues. The most important players in the bidding process were the media corporation Sky and Deutsche Telekom and British Telecom respectively. Germany saw another first, as well: league newcomer “Bild.de” soon will be offering all games as clips on Web TV and mobile broadcasts.
