Dr. Marcus Englert

Dr. Marcus Englert, Executive Board member in charge of New Media and Diversification, ProSiebenSat.1 Group, and Chairman of the Board of Management at SevenOne Intermedia, Munich

Dr. Marcus Englert, born in 1965, studied physics at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, where he was also a research assistant from 1991 until 1994. In 1994 he received his doctorate from CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research near Geneva. He was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich until 1998, during which period he also completed an MBA at the INSEAD European business institute in Fontainebleau near Paris. From 1998 to 2000, Dr Englert was managing director of ProSieben Digital Media in Munich. In 2000 he was appointed to the executive board of Kirch New Media. Dr Englert has been the managing director of SevenOne Intermedia GmbH since July 2001. He was made Diversification Director of the ProSiebenSat.1 group of TV companies in September 2004. Just two years later, on the 1st of August 2006, Dr Englert was appointed to the Group's Executive Board.
