
Michael W. Carroll is a founding member of the Creative Commons board. He is Professor of Law and the Director of the Project on Information Justice and Intellectual Property at the American University, Washington College of Law. Until August 2008 Michael W. Carroll was Professor of Law at Villanova University School of Law. Prior to this Michael W. Carroll gained legal experience as an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering and as a law clerk in Washington, D.C. Michael W. Carroll is a member of the board on Research Data and Information of the National Research Council since 2008 and has also been a member of the executive committee of the AALS Section on Intellectual Property between 2006 and 2008. Moreover he is a member of the editorial board of etc press, Carnegie Mellon University and I/S Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society since 2006.
