Joel Berger, Managing Director GSA & Northern Europe, Fox Interactive Media Germany (MySpace Deutschland)

Joel Berger is managing director of Fox Interactive Media Germany, which operates the social networking portal MySpace, among others. He is responsible for the ongoing development of MySpace in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and in particular for the expansion of the portal's reach and increases in advertising revenues.
Prior to Fox, Berger was a member of the management board at MTV Networks Germany where he was in charge of Internet, mobile, distribution, and press for the four channels of the MTV Networks Group (MTV, VIVA, NICK, Comedy Central).
Before coming to MTV, Berger worked as director of new media at Sony Music, where he was responsible for the Web sites and interactive business models of Sony Corporation's music division.
After completing his MBA in Mannheim, Swansea (UK), and Paris, Berger held different positions in marketing and public relations in Frankfurt/M. and New York.
Since July 2008 Joel Berger is also responsible for North- and Easteurope, consequently overseeing the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Scandinavia, Poland, Russia and Turkey.
