Internationale Keynote: How Must See TV is now Must Tweet TV
Tony Wang, General Manager, Twitter UK, London, UK
Watching TV started as a social gathering - families would come to watch their favorite program then discuss what they had just seen. The evolution however, has been towards a more solitary experience, with people watching programs alone or with one other person, and waiting until the next day to relive favorite moments with friends and colle and determine what shows shouldn't be missed. Now, this is again happening in real time through the second screen. Twitter provides people a platform and a reason to experience TV socially, while the program is on air. Tony Wang will take about this phenomenon, how international broadcasters are using Twitter and the opportunity to reshape the TV viewing experience.
